About Us

Rm balance dc is a boutique movement studio that offers a range of gentle and restorative yoga & fitness classes, as well as sound and meditation options, to improve mobility and wellbeing. A sister business to rm wellness massage & lymphatics, we seek to provide the environment and guidance for access to the deep stretching, stable movement, and immersive relaxation that many of us find to be missing from our day to day.

At rm balance dc, our mission is to bridge the gap between private instruction and bustling yoga classes by offering intimate, small-group sessions existing in the transitional space somewhere between a private lesson and a bustling group class. We offer one on one instruction and groups of 6-10 max, depending on the service. We prioritize individualized attention with assistance through deep nervous system relaxation and mindful movement & stretches. 

Our classes are thoughtfully designed to encourage a sense of support through the entire experience; we provide premium yoga gear included in all sessions as well as snacks and beverages, include extended Savasanas in our practices that may include bodywork, and handle all mat and prop cleanup for our guests. After a lesson, we offer 30 minutes of time to stay for tea, discussing your practice with your instructor, or trying out props such as lymphatic vibration plates, balance boards, or acupressure mats.

Those who wish to stretch and relax deeply will find what they are looking for in our studio. We skip the power classes, instead favoring a gentle, pleasurable approach to flow and muscle extension, with reduced resistance and speed. Our classes are safe for beginners and adaptive to a range of mobility needs. We offer constant support while still providing new and beneficial challenges to your yoga and fitness practices.
